Hypericum weather damaged

i am an inexperienced gardener and have had a hypericum for about 5 years. I cut it back last autumn and this year there is no new growth on about 90% of the plant. Do I just dig it up and buy a new one or cut back where there is no growth? I’m not sure which variety it is. It flowers briefly and then has red berries.

We have a couple hubby cuts them back in spring, they have flowered very well, one is under shade of a eucaliptus, they other in full sun, they are suffering from the hot weather, give it a bit longer and see what happens.
  • Thanks, mine has had lots of new growth in previous years. I’ll leave it and hope it recovers.
