Campanula 'Pink Octopus', anyone have experience of it?

Last year a kind person on the forum sent me some plugs of this plant. It didn't thrive in the first year as it was shaded by other plants. This year with the space cleared over the winter it has really thrived and produced lots of lovely flowers.

The RHS website says that you can cut it back after the first flowering has finished to encourage a further flowering. Should I just deadhead the flowers or cut back the stems to the base?

I haven't grown this one, but look at the stem for guidance.
If there are no leaves below the lowest flower then cut off the whole stem.
If there are leaves, look in the leaf axil, where they join the stem, for signs of buds and if you see any cut back to just above them. You may well get another lot of flowers.
Some campanulas do one thing, and some the other :)

Logical advice, should have thought of that. Many thanks.
