Supposedly pollenless lilies have pollen

I have some lily Elodie which were advertised as being pollenless. In their first year they had stamens with no pollen. This year, the second year, the stamens have little deformed anthers with pollen on them. What's going on? How do they actually breed these lilies to be pollenless?
