Deadheading Aconitum / monkshood / wolfsbane

So Aconitum is in the same family as Delphinium, the Ranunculaceae, and they have a practically identical growth habit. Does anyone know, if you completely remove a flowered stem of Aconitum down to the ground, will it re-bloom like a Delphinium does?

No it won’t re bloom again. I cut the flower stalks right off to the ground when it’s finished. Unless you want it to self seed, or collect some, then leave them to dry out on the plant removing them when they are brown and dried.

They’re beautiful plants , mine have been absolutely loaded with bees this year, it’s a shame they’re dying off now.
