Can you prune a PASSIFLORA in its first year? 

Its ok had mine from new in April but no flowers yet this year and its already 10ft

    I cut mine back hard in the Spring. 
    Gardening on the wild, windy west side of Dartmoor.

    My dad planted a passiflora; in three years it covered a large expanse of wall but never flowered. He threatened it:. "If it doesn't flower this year, it's coming out.". It flowered that year and every year after.

    I found mine were just a leafy mass with not enough flowers to justify the space they were taking up. Out they came.

    Mines in its second year and has a few buds, hoping it will do well.

    Had mine a few weeks... Growing well.

    I can only assume it'll get much much bigger.

    I got mine in mid April and its now 10ft and they dont flower in there first year
