sorry, me again... last post 😂 can I have one more Id please, it’s not a hosta, and I’m sure it’s a beautiful flower.  I remember him saying the name last year, unfortunately has passed away so unable to ask him  😓. (There’s also random bulbs sitting in the pot, looking forward to a nice surprise in spring next year )

    bottom one might also be one of the "water" irises? Maybe iris ensata, or laevigata?
    As you say, a surprise beckons next spring.

    First picture resembles a variegated Aspidistra !

    Keep looking after them until a flower appears. It will make identification a lot easier.
