Strawberry beds - everbearing varieties

We have three strawberry beds, two standard (mixed) and one T&M "giant" strawberry (which gave average fruits). They all come at once so we end up jamming and giving away.
One bed is about seven years old and a bit tired. I have decided to dig them up, refresh the soil and plant some everbearing strawberries. Mara de Bois comes recommended to me, apparently they taste good and chefs use them. Do they grow well?
Do other people recommend other varieties - experiences?
