Could this be crocosmia?

Can anyone tell me if this is a crocosmia or something else? It looks a bit like the leaves I have at home but my mum says this has gradually been growing in her garden and doesn't know what it is. They are quite tall.

Looks like a Crocosmia to me.
Life's tragedy is that we get old too soon and wise too late.

  • And me. If so it will soon flower so it can be confirmed.

If it's newly planted, it might not flower this year. I got none last year and loads this.

If you've had Crocosmia Lucifer in your garden boarders and removed or divided it, then it a good chance it's that. Great plant but a bit indestructible if you don't want it in your garden

Definitely Crocosmia, they self seed and soon bulk up to a whole bunch of plants. Surprising for a bulbous plant
