No fruit on my fig tree!

Last year I bought a brown turkey fig tree which is growing in a large pot in the sunniest  place in the allotment.  It is doing really well covered in glossy leaves and getting bigger every day it seems but no sign at all of any fruit!
What am I doing wrong? Any tips?

    I follow this advice https://www.ashridgetrees.co.uk/gardening-advice/fruit-tree-advice/pruning-fig-trees

It's worked in the past, but my instructions for the Holiday Watering Fairy this year were inadequate and all the little figs dropped off because the weather at the end of May was warmer than I had expected  :'(

Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.

My fig tree, several years old, never fruits either, not even little figs to drop off. 2nd one I've had like that.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

Have not pruned it at all and a bit late now apparently so will get onto it next spring
