I have grown tomatoes for quite a few years now, mostly outdoors  or in small poly grow house as I don't have space for glass greenhouse. good results other years. This year I have 2 tomato plant same name, same  compost feeding weekly at same time with tomato feed. Both plants have grown well one has developed tomatoes along the length of the stem. The other plant has nothing until the top, where flowers have appeared. Can anyone explain please.
Also another tomato plant different name show wilting leaves despite watering and feeding regularly, gave little more water late evening which didn't improve  and leaves remain limp. any advice please

I cannot explain the strange fruiting behaviour of two similar tomatoes but an over watered plant will often exhibit the same symptoms of a plant lacking water drooping, limp leaves etc. Feel the compost and use that as a guide.
