Polka raspberries not flowering

I bought some Polka (autumn) raspberry canes and planted them the winter before last. The canes are growing and the leaves look healthy - so far they're waist-high or chest-high - but there is no sign of any blossom. They had some compost in they autumn, a potash feed or two this summer, and I water them.

It seems unlikely that they will fruit this year. What have I done wrong?

You have done nothing wrong. They will get there.  As they are autumn fruiters, they will flower late this month or into August, then the fruit will ripen in September. Keep watering at the roots, not spraying it over the leaves.

Patience ... as you say, they're an autumn fruiting variety.  When we grew them we expected fruit in late August at the earliest.

I have autumn fruits too and have only an odd berry yet, blackbirds have had them. The rest are chest high and only just starting to show flower buds, as I'm in the east midlands I get them later than Dove and then northern counties are later still often as not. Good luck.😀

Thanks for the encouragement, guys. I used to grow Autumn Bliss but they behaved quite differently, flowering from midsummer and producing small amounts of fruit by August. I will just have to be patient.
