Blossom End Rot?

None of the tomatoes planted in the greenhouse beds have had this problem though, only ones in large pots.

That's interesting. Are the Cosmic Eclipse in a pot as well?

I haven't grown Orange Banana but Google tells me it's a paste variety. Pastes can be prone to BER. I once grew Amish Paste and copped a lot of BER. Cosmic Eclipse, though, isn't a variety known for BER.

seyfades, it's not BER, as Dove says. How does the foliage look? Can you post a photo?

The foliage of Cosmic Eclipse is fine and yes it's also in a pot.

So the two potted varieties have BER? Those in the beds don't?

2 out of 9 varieties in pots have BER.  All 23 in the GH beds haven't, although the Super Marmande has started to shrivel (I think the foliage from the two plants surrounding it has starved it of light).  Only 2 days ago did I remove all the bottom leaves from everything and by then it was too late.

Italia, there is a world of diffference between a tomato in a pot, even in extreme heat, and a tomato in a greenhouse, where the heat is more intense, and heightened by the glass, even with shading material, amazed you get away with watering every 2 days, mine are done outside, twice a day at the moment.  2 years ago, when we had external temps in the twenties by day, 8c at night mine got blossom end rot, usually caused by fluctuating temps and lack of water, as you say stressing the plant, and magnesium I read, water with epsom salts, one dose cured it, together with copius watering and damping down.  I see my "other" garden mag says to damp down the greenhouse 3 times a day at present.  But agree with Dove, the pics look like blight, not blossom end rot.

I checked the leaves this morning, I didn’t notice any signs of blight in the leaves. I have attached a fe pictures,  perhaps I’m missing something; I’m still new to growing vegetables.
