Leaf cutter bees

I have a weigela in a large terracotta pot. It is well watered and thriving. However, a leaf cutter bee has made its nest in the pot. If I leave it will I be over run with bees? Will it damage the plant.

Leaf cutter bees have been recently helping themselves to my Epimedium leaves ; deciding on a large pot in my g/house to make their nest .The cactus doesn't mind !
They're harmless and I just leave (excuse the pun) them to get on with it !

Not exactly relevant - but I've got 2 lots of Miner Bees this year (not had them for years). Leaving them alone and they are just getting on with it.

They’re part of garden ecology, and even though taking chunks out of my rose leaves, are very welcome. They’re also pollinators - something the worst of the agri industry have been unconcerned about - so we can all help out.

If you have a garden and a library, you have everything you need. Cicero
