ce 9m hi and if you could advice on pruning 🤔

    I think the first is a deutzia, and the pink flower is Spiraea billardii triumphans, can't advise on prunung though... (after blooming cut old stems?)

    I agree the first one is Deutzia Scabra and I think the second photo may be Spiraea Douglasii because the leaves look more blunt, but nonetheless the care is much the same.

    Just prune back or reshape after flowering is over. If the shrubs have really outgrown their place, you can prune really hard back or select a percentage of stems to be cut really low and the remaining cut to your desired height. That way, you will not lose flowers and slowly gain a more dense shrub.

    The 2nd one is definitely Spirea Douglasii and it’s very invasive. My neighbours either side have it growing along our fences and it’s invaded my garden. I’m fed up with pulling the stuff out and cutting it down, there’s no getting rid of it! 😡
