Allotment again this morning just a couple of hours as the road is closed from 9 - 4 each day for resurfacing so had to get out. But did get more of polly erected about a third of the way now, also weeded amongst the pumpkins and onions. Might try to go back down this evening for a couple of hours.

Spent the last few days getting polly together nearly there just need to tension the sheet a little more and get the pea shingle down inside.
Have started to clear the rest of the garden in the hope to get it rotavated in the next few weeks and some veg in before the weather turns we don't get a lot of frosts here on the coast but we do get SW gales and rain usually from beginning of october
The pumpkins are looking good and still growing one I might put in the show at the end of October feels like quite a good weight.

Thought it was about time for another update been busy over the last few weeks started to fill polly. Also been clearing all the old weed membrane found two layers in some places underneath the plastic type is the older fabric type that was just rotten and came up in small bits not ideal. Found a load of olr rubble bricks and concrete in one corner today so now I need to get rid of that
Need to order a skip this afternoon to get rid of all the rubbish and rubble then give it a few weeks for any weeds to come through then one last treatment with Glyphosate before I get the rotovator man on site.

In the last few weeks have been just taking it easy with my bad knee so just been visiting and watering. But today I was able to get back and tackle removing the rest of the old compost heap, start to build my compost bins and remove all the old raspberry bushes that were smothered in couch grass and bindweed.

Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
