does this take any records? our holyhock has reached the dizzy height of 11ft 9 inches..and is covered in georgous flowers!

    Wow! That's magnificent!    I have high hopes for mine now (pardon the pun) I've only got one as the cat sorted out the rest!!

    I had one just over 13 foot last year. This year not so tall. Just over 10 feet

    no but it was planted on a freshly re dug and manured bed (last year)..we are rather pleased with it as we have never had much luck with them before..it is annoying as they appear to grow like weeds everywhere in Kent !!

    i think if it was to rain it would keep on growing...but no sign of that where we are in east kent..it is dry and very hot..

    Yes, I have one such too, and an even a bigger one 5 years ago, all these huge specimens characterised by growing in NO SOIL AT ALL i.e only sand, builders rubble etc. Go figure
