Very tall,spent lilies.

Can I cut a bit off the stalk?
I was thinking about a foot or so.  That would leave about 3ft.
In London. Keen but lazy.

    I just cut off the head . Last year I grew  Thunbergia alata up the spent stems to give orange flowers later in the season. The leaves on the stem help build up the bulb for next year.

    Fidgetbones is right , just remove the spent flower heads then treat as any other bulb!
