Plum Moth

I have a young Victoria Plum tree which has a lot of plums on it so want them all to ripen. I read about plum moth and so have put up a plum moth trap but I'm confused about what is a plum moth. I have got loads of little black moths, plus one bigger brown moth. Which is the plum moth? I've looked for pictures but doesn't seem very clear which it is! Can someone help?

I wouldn't worry for this year. See how it goes and what happens. Watch and learn. If it turns out to be a big problem, then you will have info to go on. I wouldn't put up traps.

Not an  expert and not sure about plum moth but I have a Opal patio plum tree and was plagued by burrowing insects into the fruit and a great many were lost.
I read about a flying insect that lays it's eggs early in the year in the soil at the Base of the tree, the larvae crawl up the bark and cause the damage.
So this is what I did for the next two years, I bought the sticky bands that are tied to the trunk and tied mine on in the late autumn replacing it in the new year because it was covered in dirt etc. The following year there were no flowers or fruit this year there is a small crop and so far no holes in the fruit so fingers crossed.
