I always add a sprig of this when I give away my sweetpea bunches. They can be invasive, but I find them easy to pull out or cut back before they self seed, I wouldn't be without them, but it's a love hate relationship.

I've had Alchemilla mollis aka lady's mantle in my garden for years and have never found them invasive (but I do keep my borders mulched and tidy at all times). Here's a pic taken this morning, at the front of one of my borders.

@Dovefromabove quite agree with your advice "Cut it hard back after flowering and before the seeds develop ... give it a good watering and it'll bounce back with a second flush of its pretty leaves that look so beautiful..."

@Paul B3 Alchemilla alpina seems to have nice foliage. Do you have photos of your specimen(s)?

My apologies here ; I do not own a 'smartphone' as my line of work prohibits this .
I have mislaid my camera also , so I'm afraid pics are 'out' right now .

I love this plant but hadn't thought of using it as a cut flower. This site is a mine of useful information thanks all!

I grow it, and am a big fan. It never self seeds in my garden for some reason, but I love its foamy flowers for softening path edges and filling out borders, Id say its one of the most useful plants I have
