What is this plant please

This plant was given to a friend who asked me what it is, unfortunately it is not one I am familiar with and would appreciate your help in identifying it and how it's cared for. Is it hardy. Thank you

    Looks like portulaca grandiflora - tender perennial usually gown as an annual for bedding or in window boxes.  Needs full sun and good drainage.
    Vendée - 20kms from Atlantic coast.
