Pontentilla Monach Velvet

Hi All
Could anybody help me with some advice about this particular Pontentilla. I do not have this plant in my garden, but I am considering buying a few. Can anybody, who has this plant in their garden, confirm if this plant has a sprawling habit or is more clump forming and basically more behaved than most Pontentilla plants. I have read that it a beautiful plant and blooms profusely, well in to late autumn. Your help and advice will be much appreciated

Happy Gardening

    Yes, it's a sprawler.

I've got loads of seedlings of these on the go. I can't wait.

You can keep them more upright with plant supports, best if you get them in early. I have red ones, might be these, they're ancient and I've forgotten. I love them, but they are massive, so I usually prop them up for the sake of their neighbours.
I have another small, salmony pink one that I leave, as it rambles all over the place and pops up in unexpected places. William Rollison seems fairly well behaved, but he's still relatively small.

    Thanks for all your replies.

Buttercup - I will check out the Willian Rollison Potentilla if it's one that doesn't sprawl too much.
    Thanks again.
