Is it worth pouring a couple of wateringcansful down the tube or would I be wasting time?
It was planted this year and the council are unlikely to water it.

You would probably save it. I would do it. It certainly won't harm it.

I was wondering whether it would just be a drop in the ocean. Wrong choice of words ;)

Did you water, @B3? How is the tree?
