Ideas please for shrub in an awkward spot

    Lovely but I also have a very windy garden! All the walls do nothing to filter the wind which swirls around in every direction.

    Walls do not filter winds, just change directions, usually rendering them stronger, and generating eddies...

    An Abelia Grandiflora shrub can cope with a bit of wind and should do well. Easy to shape and control and more of less evergreen. If as you say, in the summer months, it's full sun for nearly 6 hours, they should flower for a while.
