Can you tell me please, what plants do you chelsea chop in your garden?

    Autumn flowering sedum as they usually flop.  Most tall perennials, heliopsis, inula, asters,

    I did download a fact sheet from Crocus which gave which plants and when. June/ July included Astrantia, Foxglove, nepeta, rudbekia tall, penstemon.
    July/August
    Aconitum early flowering. Lady's mantle, hardy geraniums,  geum after flowering, salvia after flowering. Mainly to encourage later flowers .

    I've never Chelsea chopped anything until this year, when I chopped the sedum spectabile, having read that it responds well.  Nothing happened for a long time, and I thought I'd overdone it, but now each cut stalk has lots of little shoots, they look a bit like Brussels sprouts!

    As you can see it's dated 2007 but you can find it on Crocus website.

    Monty said to chop nothing with buds on. It's a pre-bud treatment in May.
