You could always lift some of the seedlings, pot them up and grow them on ready to plant out next spring.
The red variety I planted has just about disappeared so presumably is less vigorous than the greeny white one I have all over the garden, it has even survived being thrown on the compost heap to re-appear in other parts of the flower beds/veg. patch. It grows to about 2ft tall and does not seem to be affected by drought or cold, it grows in thin, gritty soil which I occasionally dress with home made compost, I also give the borders a Spring dusting of Growmore.
