Free Compost

in Plants
I am wondering if anyone knows where I get free compost, my garden full of builders of rubbish eg bricks I couldn't plant anything in the ground. I had to use grew bags, pots and kiddy pool everything doing so well they take so compost my husband spends all his money on shop bought compost, I saw round England lots City Councils offers free compost and some giving free compost bins. I think all councils should do that after all householder reclining for them with three bins outside our house.

The stuff the council make, is only for bulking up your soil, it’s not good enough to use alone, just use it as a soil enhancer, it’s good, but I would use the council compost.
I asked our local council if they would sell some to me and they said they don’t anymore because people were complaining about so many weeds in it.
We really only put out waste plant matter for council to take if it’s no good for our own compost bins.
Have a look for top soil in your area, you will have to pay for it but sounds the best thing for you. Bought compost is no good to build up your garden, it doesn’t have the nutrients, only for a few weeks.
