@Phaidra What lovely photos and how nice to be able to attend a wedding in such a country. I used to have a really lovely friend who came from (and lived) in Kozani. Unfortunately, we have lost touch through the years, but what a fabulous region it was.
Hi tui34, I'm very glad you enjoy the photographs posters place here. I enjoy my trips to Greece and when a wedding, Christening or graduation are also involved, so much the better!
Unfortunately, sometimes friendships do end but the memories always remain. They're so worth having!
Yes, the region of Kozani is mountainous and beautiful. As you probably know, mount Vermion is famous for some of its rare vegetation. Perhaps you'll visit it again soon. Not too far away from western Macedonia is Ipiros (Ηπειρος) where a favourite holiday place of mine is: Parga. You, probably, know it too? If you haven't been there, I don't hesitate recommending it. (Hopefully, I'm not breaking any rules...)
Here are those photographs I promised a while back: sunset over the Kritiko Pelagos and a rather windy day. The weather was very pleasantly warm throughout our stay there.

My granddaughter enjoying marvellous weather in Spain (non-coastal region) with family and Spanish friends. We had frost here!
We will ...decide tomorrow!
