How I envy you, Danae.  My bones truly ache for some sunshine.

What a joyful shot!  Thank you, Danae.

The place looks rather magical, Zoe.  Lucky you!

    Are those suntanned knees yours?

Also, are you an exceptional photographer or is the patio a bit uneven?  Had the photograph been taken by me, there would be no doubt at all that the former applied....

No, the knees aren't mine!  They're the house owner's.

    The former applies. 😂

Our last holiday abroad was in 2019 - we took the family away whilst our kitchen was being knocked down and rebuilt.  Thank heavens we chose that year and not the next! We went to Croatia in the April so it was a little bit chilly but amazing.  Fresh vegetables everywhere - everyone grows veggies in Croatia!  This is the view from the house we were staying in near Split:

And the island we were heading to on a boat ride:

The water was so clean and clear everywhere.
We topped and tailed with overnight stays in the capital, Zagreb.  Lots of lovely restaurants, art galleries and the architecture shows a strong Venetian influence.  Would go again!

That looks gorgeous @didyw. I've never been to Croatia.
Our last holiday was to Lake Maggiore in October 2018. We went with friends. It was beautiful. Since then we have spent time between England and France as I live in France and my partner lives in England.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

That looks lovely too @Busy-Lizzie.  We had some adventures on our Croatia trip - I'll tell you all about it next time you are in Norfolk and we meet for a coffee!
