    Are those suntanned knees yours?

Also, are you an exceptional photographer or is the patio a bit uneven?  Had the photograph been taken by me, there would be no doubt at all that the former applied....

You’re such a naughty teaser, Sam!

Some of my garden furniture is on tiny castors too, which make the pieces look as if they’re almost floating; so glad I have not provided a photo for you to tease me about!

Light and shade play astonishing tricks on the eye too...

Zoe, I take it the gentleman (…with the knees!) is your godson’s FIL?  I'm sure you all had a wonderful time in that splendid place.  Lucky you!

  • Your corner of Devon looks peaceful and thoroughly relaxing, Helen.  Were your friends there too?

  • didyw and Busy-Lizzie, no doubt you had wonderful holidays at those beautiful places!

Yes, Artemis, he is.  A relaxed, recently retired university professor and a wonderful man.

No.  It's a cottage they have for w/ends and special occasions. For their summer holiday this year, they went to Crete.

What a wonderful combination, Busy-Lizzie, of the pastoral, the eternal and the religious.  I imagine it was a restorative experience.  As for the "stuff", I've always been one of those who gets a small memento of visited places.  For me, they are a tactile form of precious memories/experiences and, of course, people have to make a living!

That's how I feel about them too.
