    Probably tiny snails.

Oh silly me, if I apply slug and snail pellets, will my plant still survive and continue producing?

Your plants are a good size and mature ... they will survive without slug and snail pellets and your soil won't be contaminated and you won't risk poisoning any wildlife.

I would ignore the damage ... it doesn't look too bad ... your peas look as if they're going to be great  :)

In that case definitely do NOT put slug and snail pellets down.

I’m confused, does the pellets make them poisonous? I used some when the plants were growing and flowering but stopped.

I this whildt watering the plant this evening.  Could it be the culprit? There were a few of them on the plant creating their webs.

That's a spider in the last pic seyfades, definitely not the culprit of your leaf damage. Looks like slugs/snails to me.

We grow our peas beside a fence like you are, always spot a few snails hanging around halfway up 🐌. I simply pick them off the fence and chuck them in the green bin. Have used ferric slug pellets on the patch, putting just a few under a broken tile early spring helps reduce the slug population in that area.

We eat them straight off the plants too, not noticed any nasty side effects. Should I be worried @Pauline 7
