    That's Himalayan Balsam ... yes, it spreads at an exponential rate

    Do not allow it to seed if you value your neighbours' goodwill.  It catapults it's seeds over fences ... I was one of the neighbours on the receiving end ... we moved house.  ;)

    Ok, it wasn't the only reason, but it didn't endear us to the street once the dreaded HB had become endemic there. 



    Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.

    A pity it's so invasive, the flowers are beautiful.  The first time I saw it, I took home some seeds but they weren't ripe - thank goodness.
