Nematodes. I know it's irrational but.....

I use slug nematodes early summer when i've got young bedding plants out. Once the plants are big enough i let them fend for themselves, other than using garlic spray on the more vulnerable (Hostas, Dahlias etc). However if i still see a slug or snail it goes in the garden waste bin for the Council. Does make me feel a bit guilty at times!

Just make sure there's plenty of green stuff in there for them to eat on the journey. They'll be fine

Ordered ant nematodes only £12 and at least my conscience will be clear and hoping hubby will be less bitten! By ants at least!

I like the ant nematode idea but how long do they take to upset the ants?
I drape toilet paper (stationery) over the side of the bath to let the spider get out. I don't mind them in the house so long as I can't see them.
I can't abide moths or daddylonglegs so I have a husband to remove them.

Wil let you know how I get on but apparently they work best in damp weather so may be a week or two.

I always drape a towel over the side of the bath as an escape route for the spiders.   And I have an ants nest under some forget me not.  I just leave it alone.  Luckily I'm not a tidy gardener.

Laura it's not tidiness that's the issue they are red ants on my allotment and every time I weed they bite me and it really hurts! I try to be as wildlife friendly as I can but it's getting ridiculous I am scared to go near the onion bed and the weeds are enormous!

Oh I know it hurts!  They've had me a couple of times which is why I leave them alone.

Wish I could but there are so many nests all around the beds and they seem to particularly dislike me pulling weeds up!
