The Yorkshire accents are many and varied . I live near Leeds .My OH lived six miles away before we married. When I visited his family and met some of the older neighbours,I had to listen very carefully ,their accents were so strong .My fathers family came from a village
In North York’s and I had to listen very carefully to understand them . The central Leeds accent is completely different to a lot of areas surrounding Leeds. But there is a recognisable element to all the Yorkshire variations.

Nor I, nor indeed the daughter of the Duke of Westminster ( or is her brother the new Duke? ) to whom he is married.
Everyone thinks they can do a wonderful Scottish accent, but to us Scots, they're as convincing as Dick Van Dyke's cockney accent , and just as grating.

It's not Jo I object to, she's lovely, but she knows sod all about gardening and admits as much.
Imagine someone on a sports/science/history programme with the same , relative, lack of subject knowledge?

Dan Snow?   Although he thinks he knows about history......

Does he know more than Jon Snow?
If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.

For the same reason that we (young teenagers in rural Suffolk) all spoke with Liverpudlian accents in the early 60s oops

We thought we were so cool. lol

I am scunnerred, scunnerred, scunnerred with watering the garden!! This is Scotland after all. I'm sure I just had to water all my pots ONCE last summer. Now I am out, not only watering my pots every night but have to water the borders a couple of times a week. It's taking me forever!!
