Problem with lupins?

My lupins have almost finished flowering and I have noticed white 'dust' on some leaves. I'm wondering whether it's mould and should I spray them or maybe they're just reaching the end of their season?

It sounds like mildew, often caused by dry roots - not surprising given the weather we're having! Try giving them an extra drink.

After they have finished flowering cut all the stems and leaves off and dispose of.

I have grown lupins for the first time this year,  when they have finished do I just leave them in the ground for next year.  I am in West Yorkshire. Urban.
They survived the beast from the east but I had to stake them because of the wind.

As Hogweed says, cut the lot down. They’ll come up again next year, although you will have to watch for slugs, they love the new shoots.

Thank you all for your advice. When I looked closely while removing the affected leaves I noticed new shoots growing. Now for the slugs!!

Keep them well watered, remove the mildew infested foliage and cut back somewhat to new growth - you will get another flush at the end of the year hopefully.
