how to winter strawberries??

hello there! a few days ago my mom planted strawberries..I said that it is not a good idea, but my mother is so stubborn so she did that..cold days are coming so I don't think that strawberries will have fruits these summer and I have no idea how to take care of them these days..have you ever tried to winter them?

    Hi gutterpress- they're hardy in the UK, and cope with severe weather without any issue. Whereabouts do you live?
    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

    Strawberries are very hardy.. they do fine in my frozen tundra winters here in Utah.
