I am doing the same as you MrsFoxglove, but I am giving a Tomorite feed twice a week at the moment because the need for water is also draining out the feed in the containers.

The hose is now being left in one place for 3 minutes on the ground and then moved on instead of my usual night watering.

I have moved my Tumbling Toms out from under glass and into the garden which I have never done before. The grass is being watered for half an hour each night and the veg is getting all the feed and water it can take.

Our forecast is for 30 degrees on Thursday, and in my South facing sun trap I would expect that to hit at least 35. Not long ago I doubted my March garden would ever come back to life.

Don't you just love gardening 😩

Those of you Watering/ using feed very often on pots, be careful of salts building up. It is recommended to flush the pots out (let the water run out for a while) every so often, as salts in the water/fertiliser will build up in the soil over time.

Saying that, I water my pots including some fruit trees that I do not want to plant (planning on moving) once a day. They sit against a south facing wall and we had temperatures of 25C plus for over three weeks. all did fine and only once did they look a little droopy. I do not water lawns due to nearly 6 weeks without rain parts of my lawns  died this spring. (really died, they have not come back a month later) but I feel dead grass is better than wasting water.
