    Could always ask them what they had in stock at the time you bought this they might have a record it but I expect someone will know!

    I like buying unnamed plants, esp at plant fairs. It's exciting finding out what they are when they grow up. You can sometimes get treasures.

    Not sure you would get a treasure from Sainsbury's though!

    It looks to have been grafted onto a trunk so maybe a cotoneaster or second guess an escallonia but not really sure.
    Ah well it’s a lovely little plant , and thank you for pointing out the graft. Was unaware of that possibility until you pointed it out. Thank you again for the help.
