hi. Does anyone know what these bugs are? I get them each year in my globe thistles. Along with a few ants 🐜

Last year I chopped off the heads that were infested. Do you think that’s a good thing to do? I don’t use chemicals in my garden

You can gently rub them off if you don't want to loose the flower and there's not too many.
If you don't want to use insecticides, you need to be vigilant and catch the bugs before they get out of hand.

Yes a jet of water from the hose when necessary will deal with them without harming any beneficial wildlife that may want to eat them for you.
