Used a 30ml consecrate Bug Killer that makes 60 litres to make 3 litres and used it on plants

DamhahDamhah Posts: 43
Hello,

I did not read the instructions and used a 30ml concentrate that makes 60 litres to make 3 litres instead and sprayed all my plants (I only have a few) 2 dwarf apple trees, 10 pots of mint plants and some strawberry plants.

Is this bad? also stupid me did not use any gloves or protective wear.

I wouldn't fancy eating anything even at normal concentration. I certainly wouldn't eat the mint.

What did you want to kill ... apart that is from possibly yourself and your plants?

Did you read any of the instructions and precautions at all ... maybe the ones about protecting bees for instance?

Have you asked you asked yourself why you blithely ignored the instructions?

I don't want to appear rude, but do you look both ways when you cross the road?

I wouldn't eat any of your fruit or mint ... even if it survives.

I would ditch the bug killer and swear off it for good. It won't help in the long run.

And bugs are a necessary part of the ecology of your garden.  Lord knows what else you've killed using it at that concentration.

I think D has learnt his/ her lesson the hard way. We all make mistakes.
Perhaps D, you could call the company and if they answer the phone, you could ask them what to do -l suspect you would do more damage trying to flush it off, as it would spread it around even more.
At least it's not likely to rain for a while so you have the option of getting rid of the plants if necessary

Damhah, mint is indestructible, don't waste time and money protecting it from anything!
