Real cat deterent

Hi,

i just have grass grass on the front and back garden and like to keep the grass looking quite but I keep finding cat poo in the lawn and I am no fan of cats. How do you really deter cats please?

I have tried one of the sensors that omit a high pitch sound but it doesn’t deter cats and actually I get complaints from neighbours stating it “burns their ears”!!!!

Thanks in advance

Have a look through here, you’ll find about a 1000 deterrents  from different people, you may find something there you haven’t tried yet.

Somebody else commented on being able to hear the high pitch sound of the cat deterrent.  That suggests that the pitch is actually set too low as it should be out of human hearing range.  If many people are hearing it the guess is that it's faulty and should returned.

Tbh, if it's the same RSPB deterrent that I have, there's no possible way any neighbour would hear a thing. I suggest trying again and move it to where the neighbours can't see it or the light that comes on with the motion censor. As great forum advisors have noted, it can take a month in place for the sensor to have good effect.
