Poorly plants

Hello everyone! I’ve noticed in the past couple of weeks that a shrub (Pieris) is developing brown spots on the leaves.  An neighbouring wild geranium (I think!) has the same. The leaves on this quite quickly wither and die. The plants also have brown spots on the affected stems. I’m worried everything is going to die! Can anyone help? Thank you

Looks like a possible fungal infection on the leaves. You need to start clearing any leaves that drop to avoid re-infection. Look at the conditions your plants are growing in. Over crowding damp conditions make it easier for it to survive and thrive. Prune away some of the affected leaves and scrape away the top layer of soil in the area and lay a fresh layer of compost or mulch. Cut the Geranium down, they will prefer that, and hopefully re-grow new leaves.
