Mine are in permanent shade under a hawthorn which has a massive rose and jasmine growing over it. The one I made up last week is so hot you could cook a stew in it. It is the mixture that is important. I filled a builder bag with shreddings and grass cuttings mixed together. Not too wet, not too dry. It then has a cover of old compost sacks to keep the water in. After first cooking it goes into a Rotol. Then after a while in there it goes into a large Tardis for maturing over the winter. It will get used next Spring.
