It's In The Stars!

As most of the Moon Gardening people tend to warn me off advising them of the lack of any scientific basis for their theories - to the extent of them telling me to "buzz off" - I've decided tp put this up for anyone interested in The Facts!

Here is the difference between Astronomy and Astrology in pure data :- http://earthsky.org/human-world/suns-entry-into-each-sign    There's a link to compare the factual differences of most "horoscope charts" with actual celestial measurements.

The Zodiac used to be more accurate when the Greeks first observed it - they had 13 "houses" as it truely should; however; even if divided into 13 divisions ( 13 x 4 = 52 the weeks in a solar year .... hmmm, convenient!) they are not equally split - that's to say, the Sun doesn't spend an equal amount of time in any of them ( the true Constellations that is ).

Nevertheless, the Ancient observations were quite remarkable and controlled mamy parts of life with the very best brains employed puzzling things out - the trouble begins when you try to equate random collections of stars and planets to human life on Earth. Given that, I still think it's remarkable the amount of "people watching" they must have done aswell as stargazing to try and fit one with the other.

Watching and understanding the heavens and being assured that a year would roughly repeat itself enabled the makings of calendars - very useful once you move away from the temperate zones as it ain't much good planting tender seeds until conditions for their growth is favourable. It can only ever be so good in predicting the future and never so accurate as the Moon Gardeners insist.
