Am I Losing The Plot?

When i shut the greenhouse up earlier this evening i said goodnight to the occupants. Should i seek medical advice, or is this normal?

Who wants to be normal? I've never been normal in my life, and I'm not starting now.

Perfectly normal.  No need to seek medical advice, unless they they answer you.

How could you expect them to do well if you didn't encourage them?

The signs have been there for a while i've realised. I also have several plants with nicknames. Spike (a Cordyline obviously), Airy (the Spanish Moss) and Curly (pictured)

So i guess i am just a normal gardener then!

Gardeners are normal.  It's the rest of the world which is full of strange people.

stewyfizz I'm not entirely sure that last sentence hangs together, guessing and gardening, I get that. But normal? In my limited experience 'people' aren't usually normal and gardeners definitely off the chart. I like talking to my plants, they stay still while I explain complicated growing requirements, they never answer back and sometimes they take to me (sometimes they can't wait to get away), so what's the issue?

Oh dear Hostafan, I'm clearly not a gardener, but then I've always suspected that was the case  ;)

I thought it had been proved that talking to plants makes them grow better, they also like music especially those in greenhouses.

Yes ..... but does anyone talk to worms?
As I'm weeding I've been known to say out loud "Let's move you to somewhere safe then" and tuck one under a hosta.

    Seriously bonkers lol
