Hi all, I don't know what this is as last year it was a woody stem with nothing on. Over spring it's flourished. The flowers are all growing down the woody stem and it has sprouted quite long stems coming off. Would  cutting the long stems down encourage a bushier centre or is it best to just leave it.. Thanks in advance.

Looks like Philadelphus 'Innocence',  Mock Orange shrub. It's best to cut down some of the stems to create more bushiness. Do this after flowering time. If it's quite a young plant, no need to do all  the branches, some you can shorten a bit.

Just prune the flowered stems out after the flowers die off. It will reach 2m, but you don't need to hard prune it yet.
