What am I?

clarawicksclarawicks Posts: 53

ive had some self seeders a while, a group of them near my centaurea and cirsium so nurtured them in the hope it was either of those. However now they’re bigger and clearly not! They are very hairy, both stems and leaves. Any ideas?

The hairy stems and leaves look much like borage, which can be a mad self-seeder. Beautiful blue flowers beloved by bees. A lovely plant to have in the garden, if this is that.

Ah now that could make sense, as last year I planted some “blue mix” seeds, but one type dominated and nothing else grew. I wonder if these have now germinated from that mix!

It seems you have some flower buds coming, so you will know in a week or two. The flowers are great in salads and drinks.

I was thinking Borage as well.  I have a large patch that self seeds. Pimms anyone?
