I only grow them in the garden.
I know the tubers need to be baked by the sun in the summer to ensure flowers the following year. Do your tubers get lots of summer sun?
I give the a feed of blood/fish/bone in the spring and that's about it
Other than that, I don't know..

  • Yes they are baked. Can't understand it. In pots I move them with the sun. Leaves grow but no flowers??😕
  • The iris will not produce a flower if it's under stress. You say the ones in the garden flower fine? Might be to do with the soil in the pot? is it the right soil mixture for the iris? other thing is watering, under watering could cause the plant to not produce flowers and over watering will rot it. Is it the right size pot too? Its a fine balance in a pot.
