Finally my jasmine flowers.

After 3 long years one of my beautiful jasmine finally flowers.  The scent is amazing.  I repotted in spring as they were growing fast but had yet to flower.  Not sure if it's been the dry sunny weather or repot but I'm over the moon. Hope the other follows suit.

  • That's a Trachelospermum jasminoides isn't it ? A Star Jasmine ? I didn't think they were true Jasmines but I may be wrong there.

It looks luscious and very healthy at the moment. Well done !

I bought one last year, half price, from a local GC. It was looking very unhealthy - purple spots on the few leaves it had left - and was growing in a tiny pot for its size. It's looking much better now with new leaves but no flowers yet.

If i have to wait three years for those stunning, windmill flowers and delectable fragrance then, like you, I'll be more than happy.

Thanks Big Bang inflation. Yes as far as i know it's a star jasmine.  I first saw one on holiday in Greece.  The moment I got a whiff I was hooked.  This year I've finally got the beautiful scent in my garden and I'm over the moon. So worth the wait. I have thought about planting it in the garden but I'm scared to death in case I end up regretting it.  I hope you get some flowers as a reward for saving yours.
