Wonderful roses.

I wondered if anyone else has noticed how well the roses are doing this year . Ok my blue moon rose usually does well but this year omg, it is already twice the height  and the number of blooms and fragrance is amazing.

    Yes I've noticed that too, huge blooms... I think it's the continuing dry weather for me at least, I've not had rain for over a month and none in the forecast, so nothing to spoil the look... and the lack of rain means less blackspot..

    Lovely rose and I like the bush in the background.. can't make out what it is..Deutzia?... or a silver leafed plant?...

    My white roses are abut double the size they are usually and the plants are covered in buds. Maybe the cold winter / wet spring has helped.

    Well fire we have had the odd downpour which is probably why my Shirleys scent? rose has blackspot. But it is still flowering. As for the bush Marlorena I have no idea what to call it. I call it the pink bush as all the new leaves are tinted pink and turn white as it grows. It was here when we moved in and has to have a good hair cut every year to keep it to size/shape.

    Purpleallium, your roses look great. Leaves right down to the bottom. You clearly pruned it well over the winter time! Could your shrub in the back be Salix Intergra 'Hakuro-Nishiki', the Flamingo Willow?

    I agree, mine are fab this year, not a sign of blackspot and no aphids either.  It's not just the roses, all the flowering plants are looking good.

    Well done Borderline you have named it! This small tree is a splash of colour from the moment it starts in spring until it's "haircut" in the autumn/early winter. The birds love it leafed or bare .
