Painting new pressure treated trellis

Hi.  I want to put trellis on my black shed and want to paint the trellis to match.  All the trellis I can find is pressure treated and the internet seems to suggest that you can't paint new pressure treated wood.  What do other people do?  I was thinking of painting it with Sadoline classic wood protector (like the shed). Thanks

Depends on how wet the wood is.  The cuprinol garden shades paint covered by new orange shed well in a couple of coats and supposed to last  a good few years before repainting. Why not go for a contrasting colour?
I also make my own trellis from roof batten and thats treated.  On one lot in last house I just used a masonary paint and put decking oil over the top. Still looked good a couple of years later when we moved.
In current house I have again used roof batten but as I was doing the fence as well I used Ronseal Ducks back and been pleased with the results. I paint the battening before it's made up as it's less fiddly.

I've not experienced any problem painting treated wood. I use Ronseal's Black Oak [might be called Tudor Oak?] I also use the dark green one without any issue.
Like K67, I've also made trellis from roofing battens which were painted no problem.  :)
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

Thanks both. I reckon I'm just going to go ahead and paint it.
